US envoy Tom Barrack maintained that the Israeli prime minister may do anything and doesn’t care about borders or red lines if he feels Israel is threatened.
In a televised interview, Barrack disclosed the real US stance which completely supports the Israeli schemes against Lebanon, affirming that the Israeli enemy would not withdraw from the five positions it occupied in South Lebanon.
The situation in Lebanon is very difficult “but we have a good team in power,” Barrack added.
In the interview, Barrack talking about the Middle East said that “peace is an illusion.” “There’s never been peace, there will probably never be peace.”
It is worth noting that Barrack is renowned for his insolent and aggressive remarks as he described the behavior of the reporters at the Lebanese Presidential Palace as animalistic.
Barrack’s remarks casts doubts on the real intentions of the US diplomacy, which alleges supporting the stability and prosperity in Lebanon.
The United States also presides over the Ceasefire Supervision Committee whose meetings are always followed by an Israeli escalation.
An Israeli drone attack on a civilian car in Bint Jbeil, South Lebanon, left five martyrs, including three children. The Zionist massacre came only hours after the Ceasefire Supervision Committee convened on Sunday morning in a session chaired by another US envoy Morgan Ortagus.
