Palestinian resistance factions have unanimously condemned the brutal Israeli aggression targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut, denouncing it as a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of Lebanese sovereignty. In official statements, they described the attack as a breach of international law and a continuation of the aggressive policy pursued by the Israeli entity against the peoples of the region.
The factions expressed their full solidarity with the Lebanese people and their resistance, affirming Lebanon’s legitimate right to defend its land and sovereignty. They also rejected all forms of blackmail and international pressure being exerted on the Lebanese state.
Islamic Jihad Condemns Suburb Raid as a “War Crime”
The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine stated that the Israeli enemy entity’s raid on a densely populated residential area in Beirut’s southern suburbs constitutes a war crime and a dangerous escalation in the ongoing attacks against the Lebanese people and their sovereignty.
The movement asserted that this aggression represents a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and international laws and norms. It further framed the attack as part of the persistent pressure exerted by the US administration to keep the Lebanese people in a state of perpetual blackmail.
“We condemn this aggression and ask God to have mercy on the martyrs and grant the wounded a speedy recovery,” the movement’s statement read. “We affirm the solidarity of our Palestinian people with the dear Lebanese people in confronting this aggression, which targets all the peoples of the region.”
Palestinian Mujahideen Movement: Zionist Aggression is a Regional Threat
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement also issued a statement strongly condemning the “brutal Zionist aggression,” labeling it a blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty and part of the ongoing Zionist war against the nation.
The statement emphasized that this new aggression constitutes a renewed violation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, similar to the situation in the Gaza Strip, and a breach of all international conventions. It declared that this proves the Zionist entity is the primary source of terrorism and sabotage in the region.
The movement held the US administration fully responsible for the escalation, citing its unwavering political and military support that enables ‘Israel’ to continue its criminal attacks.
Reiterating its solidarity, the movement pledged full support for the Lebanese people and their resistance in confronting the criminal Zionist aggression, affirming Lebanon’s right to defend its land and national sovereignty. It concluded by calling upon the masses of the nation to close ranks and unify efforts against the Zionist enemy, which targets the security and stability of the entire region.
