Venezuelan Foreign Minister Iván Gil on Tuesday hit back at Israeli FM Gideon Saar, calling him a “war criminal” and “perpetrator of genocide” who will be held accountable by international justice.
The statement comes following Saar accusing Venezuela of causing regional instability, escalating the refugee issue, and serving as a link between Yemen, Hamas, and Hezbollah during a speech in Paraguay’s Senate and House of Representatives.
“The name of Venezuela is too great to come out of your filthy mouth and your hands stained with innocent blood. We are a people who struggle for our sovereignty and defend human rights and international law. You represent the opposite,” Gil said Gil said on his channel on Telegram.

He went on to say that Saar’s rhetoric does not worry Venezuela, adding, “What matters is that sooner or later, you will face international justice.”
The Israeli Foreign Minister Saar is currently having meetings with President Santiago Peña, Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez, and a group of business executives during his first official visit to Paraguay. His next trip is anticipated to be to Argentina.

Venezuela has consistently condemned Israeli military actions in Gaza and the broader region, calling for the prosecution of Israeli leaders as war criminals.
