State Institutions to Continue Operating Despite Loss
Despite the gravity of the loss, the Presidency reassured the Yemeni people that state institutions will continue to operate and serve the steadfast and resilient nation, affirming that the government will carry on its duties in a caretaker capacity with the help of God.
In the wake of the attack, President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mshat issued Decree No. (6) of the year 1447 AH, appointing Mohammed Ahmed Miftah, the First Deputy Prime Minister, to assume the duties of Prime Minister following the martyrdom of Al-Rahwi and his companions.
Support for Gaza Reaffirmed
The statement vowed that the blood of the martyrs would only strengthen Yemen’s resolve to stay the course, affirming the country’s unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the broader struggle of the Islamic Nation and free peoples around the world.

Yemeni Military: Fully Prepared to Confront US-Backed Enemy
In a related development, Yemeni Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammad Nasser Al-Atifi declared the full readiness of the Yemeni Armed Forces to confront the Israeli enemy and its American backers. In remarks to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), he affirmed, “We are with the Sayyed, may God protect him—he commands, and we are his missiles and his army.” He stressed that Yemen’s military is prepared at all levels and that the political leadership has already taken all necessary steps to confront the enemy.
Al-Atifi also condemned the US role in targeting civilians, drawing a direct parallel with the atrocities being committed in Gaza and warning that no matter how deep the conspiracy runs, it will ultimately fail.
The statement concluded by reaffirming Yemen’s commitment to building and strengthening its armed forces to meet any threat—a reflection of the Yemeni people’s enduring presence and determination across all battlefronts.
