The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the illegal entry of the Israeli prime minister into Syrian territory, stating the move is a deliberate attempt to deepen the occupation and threatens regional stability.
In a statement on Thursday, spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei denounced the recent visit by the Zionist regime’s prime minister and other high-ranking officials to occupied Syrian land. He described the act as criminal and part of a pattern of repeated air and ground assaults by Israel against Syria.
Baqaei warned that the warmongering and expansionist policies of the Zionist regime present a grave danger to peace and security throughout the region. He characterized the visit as a provocative effort to solidify and extend the Israeli occupation in southern Syria.
The spokesperson further emphasized the duty of the international community and the UN Security Council to pressure the occupying Zionist regime to end its occupation of all areas in the Golan region and southern Syria.
The condemnation from Iran follows Syria’s own denunciation of the trip, during which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior figures visited troops stationed in occupied Syrian territory.
