In a phone call with the Army Commander, President Joseph Aoun affirmed that the military institution is once again paying the price with the blood of its soldiers to protect Lebanese society from the scourge of drugs and to enforce the law, regardless of the challenges.
Aoun emphasized that the army’s role is unwavering and will not be shaken by suspicious campaigns, incitement, or attempts to sow doubt—whether from within or abroad. He characterized the challenges facing the institution as a clear targeting of its national missions.
He stated that the sacrifices of the army’s personnel will remain the fundamental guarantee for the security of the Lebanese people, stressing that nothing will prevent the army from carrying out its national duties to the end.
