According to local sources, numerous occupation military vehicles invaded neighborhoods across the Nablus governorate. The occupation forces arrested Mariam Sweilem from her home in the Old City and stormed a mosque within its confines. The incursion brought life in the city to a standstill.
In response to the aggression, Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas announced a suspension of work for institutions near the city center and the closure of all government and private schools and kindergartens. An-Najah National University also postponed classes and exams for the day. Governor Daghlas condemned the storming of the mosque and the National Hospital square as a “dangerous escalation.”
The operation extended beyond Nablus city to the villages of Beita, Awarta, and Beit Furik. Soldiers raided and searched homes, turning some into field interrogation centers. Three residents from Beita were reported arrested after soldiers assaulted them during the raids.

Settler Attacks in Jordan Valley
In a related development, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian shepherds in the northern Jordan Valley, attempting to prevent them from grazing their livestock. The settlers assaulted the residents when they resisted, with Israeli occupation forces reportedly supporting the attackers. The region faces daily settler violence, with October alone witnessing 766 such attacks, primarily in Ramallah, Nablus, and Hebron.
