Earlier in the day, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its medics had responded to the scene and treated two individuals with critical gunshot wounds, one of whom was shot in the chest.
Local witnesses stated that the incident began when Israeli occupation soldiers entered the town, deploying snipers on rooftops across several neighborhoods. The sources reported that the troops opened live fire on residents, resulting in the two fatalities and injuring a third person.
