The Israeli occupation army pressed ahead with its violations of the ceasefire on Thursday, as persistent reconnaissance activity and new attacks underscored a mounting breach of Lebanon’s sovereignty.
An anti-personnel mine exploded in “Wadi Hasan” near a Lebanese Army position, while a separate blast—triggered by an unexploded device left behind by Israeli occupation forces on the outskirts of south Lebanon’s Majdal Zoun—lightly wounded a Lebanese soldier, who was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Drones Over the Capital and the South
Israeli reconnaissance aircraft of various types remained almost constantly overhead, sweeping across most southern villages at low altitude throughout the day. Heavy drone activity also dominated the skies above Beirut on the eve of Lebanon’s 82nd Independence Day, intensifying during the Cabinet session held at the Grand Serail.
Daily Violations Continue
On Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of attacks on Lebanon, striking residential areas in Ainata, Tayr Felsay, Shehour, and Deir Kifa.

The same day, a drone strike in Al-Tiri claimed the life of a municipal employee and wounded eleven others, including the driver and passengers of a university student bus traveling behind the targeted vehicle, underscoring the ongoing, indiscriminate nature of these attacks.
