Head of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddine Al-Houthi emphasized the great status that Allah has bestowed upon those who are killed in His path and who follow the path He has laid out for them. He stressed that there is no loss with Allah, and what He has given to the martyrs is better than the life of this world.
He explained that the high status that martyrs enjoy is a consolation for their relatives and a motivation to continue jihad in the path of Allah, no matter how great the risks. He clarified that martyrdom is a high level of faith that a person reaches when they are prepared to sacrifice themselves in the path of Allah.
Sayyed Al-Houthi pointed out that martyrdom in the path of Allah is not the opposite of the culture of life, as some claim, but rather it is the true culture of life. He stressed that the nation that moves with the spirit of jihad and martyrdom is proud and defends itself and its dignity, while martyrdom represents life for the nation and protection from annihilation and humiliation.
He affirmed that the culture of martyrdom is the opposite of the culture of subjugation and cowardice, which ultimately leads to annihilation. He explained that some stages of the nation’s history witnessed a retreat from jihad and a deepening of hatred for martyrdom, which resulted in the nation suffering great disasters and human losses due to surrender.
Sayyed Al-Houthi pointed out that the nation has suffered greatly throughout its history, from past eras to the present day, and has lost millions of people who were killed without a fight or a stance. He noted that the Americans have admitted to killing nearly three million people in the past twenty years, most of whom were Muslims who were killed without any real battle.
He added that martyrdom stands in opposition to the culture of submission to enemies and offering sacrifices to serve them. He considered that what is observed in the movements of takfiris and some other formations reflects a deviation in the compass of enmity towards what the Americans and Israel want.
Sayyed Al-Houthi explained that martyrdom in the path of Allah is an investment in the inevitable departure of human beings, as it is linked to a stance and a cause that the martyr moves for, and it produces protection for people and confrontation with tyranny and criminals.
He pointed out that the forces of falsehood, injustice, and tyranny move with satanic goals and criminal practices, as is the case with the United States, the Israeli entity, and those who orbit around them. He stressed that the goals of the enemies are to enslave peoples, plunder their wealth, occupy their lands, and subjugate their societies.
Sayyed Al-Houthi said that martyrs carry a cause of truth and a principled stance, and their contribution is elevated because they are free from the constraints that bind others. He explained that many people do not move in crucial situations out of fear of martyrdom, and their impact is limited.
He pointed out that those who carried the spirit of martyrdom were the most contributory and impactful, and the martyrs were present in the field as symbols that embody Islamic and faith values in their highest form. They became a source of pride for their nation and inspiring models for generations, with their wills, biographies, and stances serving as lessons in steadfastness and faith.
Sayyed Al-Houthi stressed that the martyrs are the ones who made victories and honor for their nation possible through their contribution and sacrifice. He pointed out that free societies with high morale and a strong will are not broken by fears, while societies that fear martyrdom surrender to their enemies and weaken their will.
He added that societies that submit to their enemies and fear martyrdom pay a high price as a result of their surrender, while the faith-based construction, linked to Allah, is what makes a nation strong and high in morale, with the ability to face challenges and risks with steadfastness and resilience.
Sayyed Al-Houthi stressed that the fruits of sacrifice in the path of Allah appear in victory, honor, and empowerment in this world, and in eternal bliss and happiness in the hereafter. He affirmed that when the nation moves sincerely in the path of Allah, Allah supports and aids it and does not abandon it.
He considered that reality testifies that the “Quranic movement” has increased in honor, empowerment, and victory before its enemies, who had hoped to break its will. He pointed out that there are many signs of the victories of the believers and mujahideen throughout history and eras.
Sayyed Al-Houthi stressed that jihad in the path of Allah is the highest way to confront the ongoing conflict in human reality, because the forces of evil do not possess the values of mercy and justice, but rather move in life for oppression and enslavement, while Allah has drawn the path for people to establish the values of good, justice, and benevolence through jihad in His path.
