Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary bloc MP Hasan Fadlallah lashed out the Israeli occupation over its continuous attacks in the region, stressing that offering concessions to this enemy only encourages it to continue the aggression.
Addressing the Meeting of the Standing Committee on Political Affairs of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in the holy city of Mashhad on Thursday, MP Fadlallah called for cooperation among Arab and Islamic countries, rejecting disagreements, putting aside past grievances, and strengthening cooperation among them for the benefit of their peoples.
As he praised any rapprochement between these countries, MP Fadlallah voiced full support to the Islamic Republic of Iran in face of the Israeli aggression it was subjected to last June.
“What the Zionist entity’s government has committed reflects the extent of Israeli aggression in targeting the sovereignty, independence, and freedom of states, and attempting to undermine international peace and security. From this parliamentary forum, we reiterate our strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic, and we salute its steadfastness and its exercise of its legitimate right to self-defense in accordance with the Charter of Human Rights and international conventions.”

“Iran has exercised this natural right to preserve its sovereignty, and we commend here the awareness of its people and their unity behind their leadership in defense of their homeland and their dignity,” the Lebanese lawmaker said, as he was representing, along with MP Qassem Hashem, Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri at the meeting.
MP Fadlallah said Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s government continues its aggressive approach against Lebanon, through daily attacks, acts of killing civilians, attacks on citizens’ property, as well as its continued occupation of part of the Lebanese territory and the detention of many Lebanese citizens as prisoners in its jails.
He pointed to recent Israeli threats to launch a new war, affirming that such threats are aimed at intimidating the Lebanese people and forcing them to surrender.
“All these pressures will not force our sacrificing people, who are clinging to their legitimate rights, to submit, or to relinquish their sovereignty and their land.”
The Hezbollah lawmaker stated in this context, that “the demand is to stop the aggression, liberate its land, recover the prisoners, rebuild the areas damaged by the Israeli aggression, and for its people to live in freedom and dignity.”
He stressed that “making concessions to the occupying entity only encourages it to continue its aggression,” noting that “what is required today is to stand firm, for the future will only be in the interest of our people.”
