The attacks exacerbate an already severe humanitarian crisis where over two million displaced people are facing famine amid widespread destruction.
Medical officials at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat confirmed that 30 people were killed by Israeli occupation forces since dawn on Friday. Among the reported casualties were several individuals shot near aid distribution points in both northern and southern Gaza.
The Israeli enemy employed a variety of methods throughout the day, including airstrikes by drones and fighter jets, artillery shelling, and the detonation of booby-trapped robots in residential areas.
Palestinian media reports detailed a series of attacks throughout the region. Israeli drones struck the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, while booby-trapped robots were detonated in Jabalia al-Nazla and the Zarqa area in the north. Artillery shelling continued in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood, and drone strikes were reported near the Abu Iskandar area and the al-Rayes area. Loud explosions were heard in al-Zeitoun and al-Sabra as buildings were destroyed.
Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat announced it received four fatalities, including a child, and 18 wounded following an airstrike on civilians near the Baba Mall in the Bureij refugee camp. The victims were identified as Nahla al-Awawdeh, Hanan al-Awawdeh, Khaled al-Bahbahani, and the child Muhammad Abd Jarwan. Additional strikes on Thursday evening killed two people in a tent in Khan Younis, four at the entrance to the Bureij camp, and five near a school in Jabalia al-Nazla.
Deepening Humanitarian Catastrophe
The ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in a staggering number of casualties. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the war has left 62,966 dead and 159,266 injured, with over 10,000 people still missing. The ministry also reports that 317 people, including 121 children, have died from famine and malnutrition.
Vulnerable groups have been disproportionately affected, with 19,000 children and 14,500 women among the killed. The health officials state that 18,000 of the children martyred arrived at hospitals after being targeted by airstrikes, artillery, or sniper fire.
The report accuses Israel, with American political and military support, of turning aid points into “killing traps,” assuring 2,180 have been killed and 16,064 wounded since May 27 in such incidents. It further condemns what it calls an “unprecedented failure” of the international community to stop the violence.
