A series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of at least 24 people since last night, according to local sources, with new reports emerging of unknown gases causing civilian injuries and prompting serious medical concerns.
The bombardment impacted multiple areas. Sources reported two women were killed and several injured in a strike on a warehouse on Akila Street in Deir al-Balah. A separate drone strike near al-Durra Stadium in the same central city killed one civilian.

Further strikes were reported in the vicinity of the Palestine Technical College north of Deir al-Balah, on al-Basatin Street in Gaza City’s al-Zeitoun neighborhood, and in the towns of Jabalia and al-Nazla in the north, where civilian homes were reportedly demolished. Israeli operations along the Netzarim axis in central Gaza also resulted in at least one fatality.

Medical Crisis Worsens with Reports of Toxic Exposure
The situation was further complicated by reports from medical sources that Israeli forces detonated military robots in residential neighborhoods—including Sheikh Radwan, Al-Jalaa, and Jabalia—releasing unknown gases.
Dozens of civilians were treated for symptoms including suffocation, shortness of breath, and burning sensations in the nose and skin. Specialists have expressed alarm over the use of these substances.
Dr. Muhammad Abu Afash, Director of Medical Relief in Gaza, confirmed a significant rise in respiratory illnesses, which he linked to the recent bombardments. He stated that over 490,000 people in Gaza are now suffering from respiratory ailments amid the spread of new gas smells.
This comes amid the occupation forces’ continued detonation of booby-trapped robots in the neighborhoods of Al-Sabra and Al-Zeitoun, and the destruction of residential buildings in the areas of Zarqa, Jabalia Al-Nazla, and Al-Zeitoun.
With American support, the Israeli occupation has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 62,192 martyrs, 157,114 injured, and over 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
