Explosions have continued to echo across the Gaza Strip since the early hours of Wednesday morning, marking a new breach of the ceasefire and another wave of Israeli attacks. Israeli artillery has intensified its bombardment of residential areas labeled by the occupation as so-called “yellow zones,” targeting housing units despite the declared “ceasefire agreement on Gaza.”
Escalating Attacks and Civilian Casualties
Palestinian sources reported that the shelling was concentrated in Deir Al-Balah and the eastern area of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Gaza City also witnessed explosions in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood and parts of the city’s east. The sources confirmed that Israel’s violations of the ceasefire continue on a daily basis, with the occupation repeatedly evading its stated commitments.
The attacks have left one Palestinian woman dead in Khan Younis, southern Gaza—a figure that remains preliminary as rescue efforts continue.

Humanitarian Crisis Worsens
The same sources described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as catastrophic, stressing that the limited aid entering the enclave is grossly insufficient to meet the needs of over two million Palestinians. Rafah Crossing remains closed, barring the evacuation of the wounded and sick for treatment abroad. More than 22,000 people are in urgent need of medical care, while Gaza’s health system teeters on the brink of collapse amid severe shortages of medicine and essential supplies.
Rescue teams and municipal workers are struggling to operate due to a lack of heavy machinery—equipment Israel continues to block from entering Gaza—hindering recovery operations and leaving many victims buried under the rubble of destroyed homes. Officials have warned of an impending humanitarian catastrophe if restrictions persist.
Since mid-October, only half the agreed-upon food has been allowed into Gaza by Israel, according to the UN World Food Program (WFP), while local Palestinian agencies report overall aid at a quarter to a third of expected levels.

Hamas Hands Over Israeli Captive’s Body
In a related development, the Al-Qassam Brigades—Hamas’s military wing—handed over the body of an Israeli captive to the International Committee of the Red Cross on Tuesday evening. The group stated that the entry of engineering teams into the so-called “yellow zone” had facilitated the recovery of remains. Israeli media claimed the body belonged to the last American-Israeli captive held in Gaza.
Resistance Holds Fire Amid Continued Violations
Despite Israel’s repeated ceasefire breaches, Palestinian resistance factions continue to uphold the agreement, underscoring their commitment to restraint even as Israeli violations persist daily. Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis in the besieged strip deepens, with new atrocities coming to light. The Palestinian people, under relentless bombardment and deprivation, continue to demonstrate resilience and steadfastness in the face of Israel’s military aggression.
