The Israeli occupation forces continue their genocidal war on the Gaza Strip for the 700th consecutive day, using air and artillery bombardment, killing starving and displaced civilians. This war is backed by American political and military support, international silence, and unprecedented abandonment by the international community and Arab states.

In this context, Palestinian sources reported that “several civilians were martyred as a result of the occupation’s aggression on various areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn on Friday.” They noted that “after midnight, Al-Quds Hospital received two martyrs and nine wounded as a result of the targeting of a tent housing displaced persons inside the Islamic University campus southwest of Gaza City.”

According to reports from within Gaza, a series of Israeli attacks since dawn on Friday resulted in numerous deaths and injuries. Al-Quds Hospital received two fatalities and nine wounded after a tent sheltering displaced persons on the Islamic University campus southwest of Gaza City was struck.
In Khan Yunis, Israeli artillery shelling was reported Friday morning. Simultaneously, a separate bombardment in Gaza City targeting residential apartments and displacement tents killed 19 people overnight.

The attacks were widespread. Sources detailed an airstrike near the Shuja’iyya bus station, accompanied by heavy artillery fire. Further casualties were reported from a bombed tent near Al-Lababidi Street, a targeted residential apartment near the YMCA, and a strike on a tent near Al-Nour Mosque, each incident claiming lives.

In another attack, two citizens were martyred and several displaced persons were injured after a tent was targeted at the Al-Azhar intersection, west of the city. Three citizens were also martyred and seven others were injured when an apartment was bombed near the Artificial Limbs Center on Al-Yarmouk Market Street in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, central Gaza City.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled the Al-Zeitoun and Al-Sabra neighborhoods, south of Gaza City. In a new attack, sources said, “Three civilians were martyred and others were injured after a tent for displaced people inside the Islamic University was bombed.” A woman was also martyred and others were injured in a similar attack on the same site. They added that “occupation forces detonated a booby-trapped robot at dawn on Friday to destroy civilian homes in the Jabalia al-Nazla area in the northern Gaza Strip.”
The Israeli occupation forces, with full American support, are waging a war of genocide against the Gaza Strip, which has so far resulted in more than 64,000 deaths, 161,583 injuries, and more than 10,000 missing. Famine has claimed the lives of hundreds, and more than two million Palestinians are living in conditions of forced displacement amid unprecedented and widespread destruction.
