A Hezbollah delegation, led by the Politburo Chief Sayyed Ibrahim Amin Al-Sayyed, visited on Monday Bkirki to felicitate Maronite Patriach Beshara Boutros Rahi on Christmas and New Year.

The delegation discussed with Rahi the latest developments in the country, including those related to the presidential elections.

Sayyed Amin Al-Sayyed underscored the importance of electing a new president as soon as possible, stressing that the presidential elections must a priority.

Hezbollah Politburo Chief indicated that the new president must gain parliamentary votes as high as possible, warning against supporting a confrontational candidate.

Sayyed Amin Al-Sayyed underling the significance of the dialogue as called for by Speaker Nabih Berri, encouraging the various blocs to respond positively to his call.
