The Jenin Brigade announced that its fighters were able to target the Israeli Al-Jalama checkpoint north of Jenin with an explosive device, as Palestinian sources confirmed that dozens of heavily armed Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin, leading to confrontations.
Local sources indicated that the IOF stormed the Basateen neighborhood in the center of Jenin and launched a campaign of raids in the city.
The occupation forces have recently intensified their incursions into Jenin, in an attempt to arrest some of the resistance fighters and assassinate others.
On its part, Israeli media said that a settler was wounded in a shooting attack targeting the “Beit Hadassah” settlement in the city of Al-Khalil in the south of the occupied West Bank.
This comes as the Palestinian resistance factions warned on Thursday the Israeli occupation against making a blunder and allowing the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque through “organizing the terrorist Flag March.”
The factions, during a meeting in the office of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the Gaza Strip, announced that they were on high alert and closely watching the Israeli occupation’s every statement, development, and violation, holding “Tel Aviv” accountable for any response to its violations.
Earlier, on May 18, the Israeli Minister of Internal Security, Omar Bar-Lev, and the commissioner of the occupation police, Kobi Shabtai, had given permission for the “Flag March”. The march is planned to be held at the end of this month and pass through Bab Al-Amoud in occupied al-Quds.
The Israeli occupation canceled the “Flag March” last year for the first time after the Palestinian resistance launched missiles toward the occupied territories.
