In the fourth day of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in 2006, Zionist occupation committed horrible massacre in the south, with its warplanes targeting several areas across Lebanon. On Saturday, July 15, 2006 Hezbollah expanded its rockets range, hitting Tiberias for the first time.

Israeli occupation stepped up the aggression on that day, with dozens of strikes reported on residential areas in Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh).

Israeli warplanes went ahead with implementing the Zionist scheme to damage Lebanon infrastructure, with strikes hitting commercial ports in the towns of Beirut and Tripoli, as well as ports in Jounieh and Amsheet.

Record displacement was reported on Saturday, with civilians were evacuating southern towns to Beirut, Mouth Lebanon and even to Syria.

The Israeli enemy committed a horrible massacre on that day, killing at least 20 civilians, most of them were children, who were fleeing southern town of Marwaheen. Occupation forces told the civilians by loudspeakers to leave the town. They were then refused asylum in a UN base and afterwards, their vehicle was attacked by an Israeli strike.

For its part, rocket fire did not stop, with occupied territories were pounded by Hezbollah missiles. Israeli city of Tiberias entered the equation for first time, raising concerns among Israeli officials who were surprised by Hezbollah’s rocketry power.

Meanwhile, Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri continued his political efforts aimed at pressing the Israeli enemy to halt its aggression on Lebanon.

Furthermore, Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad voiced his country’s readiness to support Lebanese people against the Israeli attack.
