The assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh brings back to mind remarks by ‘concerned’ Israeli officials who have been sounding alarm throughout the last years about the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.
Back in 2018, Al-Jazeera’s Mehdi Hassan interviewed former Israeli minister Danny Ayalon who impudently said that the aim behind the Israeli nuclear program is for the occupation entity to “only live and survive.”
The Israeli diplomat brazenness didn’t stop here. He accused Iran of attacking its neighbors and launching threats against them- referring to the Zionist entity-, while saying that Tel Aviv has “never done” such threats.
Here some excerpts of the interview, conducted in July 2018.
