Syrian Army repelled a new Israeli aggression which targeted the T4 air base in Homs province late on Sunday.
SANA news agency quoted a Syrian military source as saying that the Syrian air defense systems shot down projectiles launched from south of the Tanf region toward the T4 air base.
“Our air defense systems thwarted an Israeli aggression and brought down a number of missiles that were targeting the T4 airport,” a source told Syrian state media as quoted by Reuters adding that the air defenses hit one of the “attacking planes and forced the rest to leave” Syria’s air space.
The new Israeli aggression comes as the Syrian Army has been liberated scores of villages and towns and it has forced the armed groups in the country’s south to surrender and hand over their weapons and ammunition.
