The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) escalated their ceasefire violations on Tuesday, launching new aerial and ground attacks on the eastern areas of the Gaza Strip and detonating what remains of civilian homes.
According to a reporter from the Palestinian Information Center in Gaza, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes in the early morning hours east of Khan Yunis. This came after heavy bombardments rocked the same area shortly after midnight. Simultaneously, IOF artillery units shelled the eastern neighborhoods of Shuja’iya and al-Tuffah in Gaza City.
Eyewitnesses reported powerful explosions from the systematic detonation of buildings in the eastern parts of both Khan Yunis and Gaza City.
These latest assaults follow a deadly Monday, where medical sources at Nasser Hospital confirmed three civilians were killed by Israeli army fire north of Rafah. A fourth civilian was wounded in an Israeli drone strike in the town of Bani Suheila. Two additional Palestinians were injured in eastern Gaza City while attempting to check on their family homes, according to local sources.

In a parallel act of aggression, the Israeli navy arrested five Palestinian fishermen on Tuesday morning. IOF gunboats opened fire on fishing boats off the coast of Gaza before surrounding one vessel and detaining its crew. The fishermen were identified as Mohammad Rashad Al-Hissi, Alaa Rajab Al-Hissi, Mohammad Ahmad Tulbah, Mahmoud Rashad Al-Hissi, and Ahmad Rashad Al-Hissi.

This incident, as stated by local sources, is part of a routine campaign where the IOF targets fishermen within the limited fishing zone, often confiscating equipment and detaining them as a form of collective punishment against the people of Gaza.
