Hezbollah officials lashed out at the United States for backing the Zionist entity, describing it as the “state sponsor of aggression,” and “origin of terror.”
In local ceremonies in Beirut on Friday, members of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MPs Hussein Al-Hajj Hasan and Ali Al-Mokdad stressed that the US is complicit in the continued Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
“What happened yesterday in Blida and Adaisseh, as well as the violations since the ceasefire took effect on November 27, 2024, proves that the Israeli enemy has not respected any term in the ceasefire agreement, and that the Mechanism Committee is complicit in the aggression, with its US chairman whose name has changed but whose role has not.”
“None of this would have happened without the US cover,” MP Hajj Hasan stated.
“We expect nothing different, as Israel is an enemy, and the US is its sponsor. Israel is an aggressor, and the US is the state sponsor of aggression.”
Meanwhile, the Hezbollah lawmaker said: “What we want is a Lebanese state whose army is properly armed and supported by political will, a capable and powerful state determined to defend its people.”
For his part, MP Al-Mokadad, blasted the US as saying: “The US, which claims to be a champion of peace, is the root of terror in the world. It provides weapons to the Israeli enemy that bombed our people and supplies them with all the information and intelligence.”

He explained that a large number of US officers and soldiers are present in occupied Palestine, and some others are in Lebanon, pointing to the billions of dollars worth of support Washington provides to Tel Aviv.
“Therefore, the US doesn’t only support the enemy, but rather it’s complicit the killing and the war. This is what happened when the US envoy Morgan Ortagus witnessed, from the Lebanese-Palestinian border and upon Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz’s orders, the assassination of Dr. Ali Nour Eddine Mousawi in Nabi Sheet. Such people can neither be partners in peace nor its guardians.”
The Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following a brutal 66-day Israeli war between September and November 2024.

In addition to the Israeli violations, the Lebanese State has been subjected to unprecedented pressure by the United States, the first sponsor of the Zionist entity, to disarm Hezbollah.
