As part of a high-level visit aimed at reinforcing strategic ties, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, visited the shrine of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Wednesday evening, underscoring Tehran’s unwavering support for Lebanon and its resistance.
During the visit, Larijani paid tribute to the late leader, describing Martyr Nasrallah as “a remarkable figure and a great asset to the entire Islamic world.” He emphasized Hezbollah’s enduring role, calling it “a source of pride, dignity, and honor.”
“It is true we have lost this martyr, but his sons—shaped by his teachings—are still alive and carrying forward his legacy.”
“The hostility you face is a reflection of your influence and steadfastness. If you truly wish to follow in the path of Martyr Sayyed Nasrallah, your duty is to hold firm to the path of resistance,” Larijani asserted.
Warm Reception and Popular Support
Larijani’s visit was met with a significant popular turnout. Hundreds gathered to welcome the Iranian official, chanting in support of the Islamic Republic and reaffirming the historic ties between Lebanon and Iran. Demonstrators highlighted Tehran’s central role in backing the resistance and supporting national causes.

The visit comes at a time of mounting economic and political challenges in Lebanon. It underscores the importance of deepening cooperation between Tehran and Beirut in support of regional stability and ongoing development efforts across Lebanese territories.
