The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Saturday a new drone strike in occupied Palestine in support of Gaza against the brutal Israeli aggression.
In a statement, the Iraqi resistance group said it targeted a vital target in the occupied territories’ Eilat at dawn on Saturday, employing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
“We affirm our continued efforts to dismantle the enemy’s strongholds,” the statement read, adding that the strike is part of the second phase of its operations against the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza.”
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq added that the attack on Eilat was in response to the” Zionist enemy’s violation of Iraqi sovereignty by targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces’ camps.”
Earlier, Iraqi media reported explosions took place at a military base used by the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF). The Kalsu military base is located some 50km (31 miles) south of the capital Baghdad in the province of Babil.
