Huge crowds in the southern village of Blida and the surrounding towns in South Lebanon mourned the four martyrs, Samira Absul Hussein Ayoub and her three grandchildren– Rimas, Talin and Layan.
Addressing the funeral, member of Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc, MP Ali Fayyad stressed that the resistance is the only way to protect the nation, existence, and right to life.
MP Fayyad underlined that the Resistance will not deal with complacency in the confrontation against the Israeli aggression, underlining the importance of sustaining the national unity to face the Zionist threats.
The heart-wrenching incident occurred in southern Lebanon, where a Zionist military aggression took the lives of the three Lebanese children, alongside their grandmother on Sunday evening.
Their mother, Hoda Abdel Nabi Hijazi, sustained injuries when a civilian car (CRV), situated between the towns of Aitaroun and Ainata along the southern border between Lebanon and occupied Palestine, was targeted by Israeli enemy aircraft, directly striking it and igniting a fire.
In response to this heinous crime, Hezbollah released a statement announcing that Islamic resistance fighters targeted Kiryat Shmona settlement with a series of Grad missiles.
“In retaliation for the atrocious and barbaric act committed by the Zionist enemy earlier today, targeting a civilian vehicle on the Al-Muaysara road between Ainata and Aitaroun, resulting in the tragic loss of a woman and her three grandchildren, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance took action at 7:20 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023,” the statements read, continuing “the fighters launched a series of Grad (Katyusha) missiles towards the Kiryat Shmona settlement.”
