Iranians took to streets across cities on Friday in condemnation of the terrorist attack which killed or injured dozens two days earlier.
Iranian media reported mass rallies in Mashhad and Kerman. Demonstrators who took to streets following Friday prayers chanted slogans against US, the Zionist entity and Saudi Arabia’s Wahhabism.
Videos circulated on social media showed protesters raising Iranian flags and chanting slogans in support of the Islamic establishment, according to local media.
At least 15 people were martyred killed and 40 others were injured in an attack, claimed by ISIL terror group, on the Shah Cheragh Shrine late Wednesday.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei expressed grief over the terrorist attack, warning that the perpetrators will be punished.
President Ebrahim Raisi said the latest riots across the Islamic Republic paved the way for the terror attack.
In a speech delivered via Al-Manar on Thursday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah stressed that those who ordered latest riots across Iran “are themselves who are behind Shiraz attack,” calling on Iranians to be vigilant to counter anti-Iran schemes directed by the United States.
