The Lebanese Communication Group (Al-Manar TV Channel and Al-Nour Radio Station) denounced the insidious Zionist crime of killing the Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in the occupied West Bank early on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Lebanese Communication Group maintained that this spiteful crime in addition to the long history of Israeli terrorist acts will not affect the journalists’ commitment to their rights and vocational values.
The statement affirmed that the Zionist crime of directly targeting freedom of the press within the occupied territories highlights again the responsibilities of the international organizations, “which must clearly condemn this assault”.
Voicing sympathy and solidarity with the journalists at these hard moments, the Lebanese Communication Group offered condolences to Al-Jazeera Channel and the martyr’s family.
The statement finally asked Holy God to grant the martyr Mercy and her family patience.
Israel occupation forces shot dead Abu Akleh in the occupied West Bank early. She was hit by a live bullet while covering Israeli raids in the city of Jenin and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, according to the ministry and Al Jazeera journalists.
She was pronounced martyred at the hospital, the Palestinian health ministry said.
