Clashes between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinian renewed at Al-Aqsa on Friday, as IOF went ahead with their provocative measures at the holy site.
Israeli occupation police stormed Al-Aqsa early on Friday, prompting clashes with Palestinians barricaded there.
Palestinian Red Crescent said at least 31 Palestinians were injured as Israeli occupation police fired rubber bullets and tear gas towards worshipers.
Two of the wounded sustained serious to moderate injuries, the Red Crescent said, adding that one of its aid workers was injured at the scene of the clashes.
A number of occupation forces were spotted on the roofs of the surrounding buildings shooting at Palestinians in the holy compound during the clashes, Palestinian sources reported.
Tensions have been high in Al-Aqsa Mosque since last Friday, with clashes taking place daily due to Israeli break-ins to the holy site.
Occupation forces have been securing the entrance of Zionist settlers into the Islamic compound for the Passover holiday in moves eyed as highly provocative by Palestinians.
