A gunman opened fire Friday at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport in Florida, killing at least one person and injuring nine before being taken into custody, US media reported.
Television footage showed passengers running to safety, and others gathered on the tarmac as NBC reported, citing Broward County officials, that one person had been killed.
“There is an ongoing incident in Terminal 2, Baggage Claim,” the airport tweeted.
Both NBC News and CNN reported that the gunman had been taken into custody.
