Member of Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary Bloc, Dr. Ali Fayyad, warned of the consequences of the social tensions caused by the US-ordered financial measures taken against the Lebanese people.
Addressing Hezbollah memorial ceremony for the martyr Hassan Ali Jamil Sultan, who was assassinated by the Zionist enemy, in the South Lebanon town of Al-Sawana, MP Fayyad extended condolences to the martyr’s family and the people of the town. Hezbollah lawmaker pointed out that the enemy’s escalating aggression and assassinations are met with American pressure, which prevents reconstruction and ties it to the disarmament of the resistance.
MP Fayad criticized the Lebanese authorities, particularly the Central Bank for complying with American demands and imposing harsh financial measures that affect the Lebanese people, warning of the dangers of social unrest and the impact on stability and the path to recovery and reform.
MP Fayad questioned the compliance of the Lebanese authorities with American demands, which, he said, would lead to a complete relinquish of Lebanon’s sovereignty and dignity. He emphasized the need for the Central Bank and other authorities to protect national interests and support the Lebanese people in the face of American sanctions.
MP Fayad concluded that the current situation is critical and that the country is on the verge of a serious stage, no less dangerous than the effects of assassinations, destruction, and displacement that Lebanon is experiencing.

For his part, Member of Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary Bloc, Hasan Ezzeddine, highlighted the joint Israeli-American coordination exerting pressure on Lebanon, militarily, security-wise, and economically. This financial pressure targets the resources of the resistance, but it will affect the entire Lebanese people without distinction between sects, in an attempt to weaken Lebanon politically, militarily, and economically, he added.
MP Ezzeddine called on the government to unify the political stance among the three presidencies and to set clear priorities, including a ceasefire, expelling the enemy from the land, retrieving prisoners, and reconstruction, while strengthening national unity to prevent the enemy from exploiting any internal gaps.
MP Ezzeddine concluded by affirming that the resistance will not back down from its right to defend the land, sovereignty, and resources, and that the blood of the martyrs will remain a motivation to continue on their path.
