UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) announced that the concrete wall erected by the Israeli occupation army southwest of the town of Yaroun has crossed the Blue Line and made more than 4,000 square meters of Lebanese territory unavailable to the Lebanese people.
In a statement, UNIFIL said it had informed the Israeli side of this matter and demanded that the wall be removed, stressing that part of the wall built southeast of Yaroun has also crossed the Blue Line.
UNIFIL considered the Israeli presence and construction work in Lebanese territory to be a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
UNIFIL reiterated its call to Israeli forces to respect the entire Blue Line and withdraw from all areas north of it.
