Secretary of Iran’ Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani has mocked the Israeli regime for allocating budget to attack sites in Iran.
“Instead of allocating 1.5 billion dollars budget for atrocities against #Iran, the Zionist regime should focus on providing tens of thousands of billion dollars funding to repair the damage that is going to be caused by Iran’s shocking response,” Shamkhani said in post on his Twitter account on Sunday in reaction to Zionist regime’s increased rhetoric against the Islamic Republic.
Israeli Channel 12 reported earlier this week that Israeli officials had approved a budget of five billion shekels ($1.5 billion) to purchase high-powered weapons and equipment in preparation for a possible attack against Iranian nuclear facilities.
Around $600 million will be added to the previous $900 million budget for acquiring aircraft, intelligence-gathering drones, and weapons that can destroy heavily fortified underground sites, the report added.
Earlier on Saturday, Shamkhani dismissed comments from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the recent problems between Tehran and Baku, which have mobilized efforts to resolve differences.
“Fear of tribes belongs to a government that confronts them with sword and discrimination, not Iran which is the paradise of tribes,” Shamkhani wrote in a post in Persian, English, Arabic, and Turkish on his Twitter account.
In remarks published on Thursday, Erdogan said that Iran will not target its northwestern neighbor Azerbaijan for Baku’s relations with the Israeli regime because of its noticeable Azeri population.
