Bahrain’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs in the Foreign Ministry Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa arrived in the Zionist entity on Sunday to begin a four-day official visit.
The Bahraini official is scheduled for meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Foreign Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid during his visit, which marks his second trip after joining the delegation of Bahrain’s foreign minister in December 2020.
According to a statement from the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the senior official will also meet with the Foreign Ministry’s cadet course on foreign policy and Bahrain-Israel relations.
He is also expected to meet with various organizations representing Israeli civil society, universities and research institute, according to Israeli media.
The Zionist entity and Bahrain normalized relations last year as part of the so-called Abraham Accords signed between the occupation regime and four Arab countries, including Bahrain’s Gulf neighbor the United Arab Emirates, as well as Morocco and Sudan.
