The Press Office of the Presidency of Lebanese Council of Ministers slammed as light a local report on caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab’s recent visit to Qatar.

“One of the newspapers has dealt lightly with the visit of Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, to the sisterly State of Qatar,” the Press Office said in a statement.

“The report aimed at offending “the content and results of the discussions that took place with Qatari officials, especially His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, with regards to helping Lebanon in these difficult circumstances,” the statement added.

“PCM (Presidency of Council of Ministers) Press Office is keen on confirming that the information circulated by the newspaper is too lame to deserve a reply,” the statement said further.
