The Air Force of the Yemeni Army has carried out drone attacks against Jizan Airport in Saudi Arabia with a number of drones.
Yemen revolutionaries carried out new drone strikes on Jizan Airport in retaliation of the ongoing Saudi aggression.
Spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced late on Thursday that Qasif K2 drones hit fighter jets runways at Jizan Airport.
In a tweet, he stressed that the operation “comes within the legitimate response to the continuation of the aggression and the siege on our country.”
Earlier on Wednesday night, the Yemeni Air Force targeted King Khalid Air Base in the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait.
Yemeni Air Force has been in the latest weeks stepping up attacks against Saudi military targets in retaliation for the 6-year aggression.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab impoverished country has been also under harsh blockade by the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
