Dozens of Syrian refugees in Lebanon are preparing to return to their homeland, in operations organized by Lebanon’s General Security.
In the southern city of Nabatieh, 42 Syrian refugees gathered on Thursday at Kamel Yousef Jaber Cultural and Social Center in preparation for their voluntary and safe return to their country, official National News Agency (NNA) reported.
The agency added that the refugees have been escorted by the Lebanese Army and the Red Cross, noting that vaccinations are being provided by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health to all returning children to Syria.
Elsewhere in the northern city of Tripoli, a new convoy of departing refugees were preparing to return to their homeland. Dozens of refugees gathered at Rashid Karameh International Fair-Tripoli ahead of being transported into Syria by buses.
