The Lebanese Army affirmed on Friday commitment to national duties with the utmost responsibility and professionalism.
In a statement, the Lebanese Army Command’s Directorate of Orientation urged media outlets “to refrain from speculating about the military institution and its decisions, and to refer to official statements for accurate information.”
“Media outlets have been circulating information regarding the Army Command’s stance on the duties currently undertaken by the military institution. The Command affirms that it is carrying out its responsibilities with the highest levels of professionalism and commitment to national security and internal stability, in accordance with decisions made by the political authority and in full dedication to duty, regardless of the challenges faced,” the statement read.

It added that “the national duty that the army is honored to perform remains a steadfast commitment.”
“The Soldiers of all ranks have made significant sacrifices throughout various stages, especially in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression against our country.”
Earlier on Thursday, two Lebanese Army soldiers were martyred and another was injured as an Israeli drone exploded in the southern border town of Naqoura.
