An Israeli strike on a tent used by journalists in the northern Gaza Strip killed Palestinian journalists Anas al-Sharif and Mohammad Qraiqea, and photojournalists Mohammad Nawfal and Ibrahim Daher, officials and media outlets said.
Al-Sharif, described by some Palestinian sources as a martyred journalist, had been the subject of an Israeli incitement campaign alleging he was a member of Hamas’s armed wing and involved in rocket-launching operations. Both al-Sharif and Al Jazeera, for whom he reported in northern Gaza, denied those claims as completely false.
