Syrian Army thwarted an attack by Jabhat Al-Nusra terrorist group in Aleppo western countryside.
SANA news agency said units of Syrian Army confronted the wide-scale terrorist attack late on Thursday, inflicting heavy losses upon Takfiri militants.
“Units of our Armed Forces repelled a large terrorist attack on Thursday evening launched by terrorist group affiliated to Jabhat Al-Nusra terrorist organization on our positions in Kafer Ammah, east of al-Atarib in Aleppo western countryside during the breakfast time,” Syria’s Defense Ministry said in a statement cited by SANA.
11 terrorists were killed in the attack, including the leader of the group, according to the statement.
Five bodies of the dead terrorists, among them of foreign nationalities, were withdrawn and their arms and equipment were seized, the statement added.
