The policy of imposing maximum pressures and sanctions against Iran has ended in failure and met the same fate as the enemy’s failed military tactics, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said.
Addressing a massive demonstration in celebration of the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran on Saturday, Raisi said the enemies have themselves admitted the failure of maximum pressures on Iran.
After the failure of the military war against the Islamic Republic, the enemies intensified the sanctions and threats, but the Iranian nation defeated the maximum pressures as well, he said.
The president stated that the enemies also failed to obstruct the Iranian nation’s scientific progress, production, oil exports, export of non-oil goods, trade with other countries, and economic growth.
After realizing their inability to impede Iran’s development and progress, the enemies hatched another plot to foment riots and chaos in Iran, Raisi added, emphasizing that such a plot ended in failure too.
He highlighted Iran’s major role in ensuring regional security, stressing that security of the region and the Persian Gulf will be guaranteed in the absence of American forces and outsiders.
Taking a swipe at the US for making accusations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, Raisi said the party that gets the blame is the US, which owns nuclear warheads, while the International Atomic Energy Agency has certified in 15 reports that there is no deviation in Iran’s nuclear activities.
Nationwide rallies were held on the national holiday of “Bahman 22nd” on Saturday. People in over 1,400 cities and 3,800 villages across the country took part in the celebration, which was covered by more than 6,000 journalists and reporters.
