Iran’s Foreign Minister Hussein Amirabdollahian emphasized continuation of Iran’s support for the cause of liberation of Palestine in a meeting with the Islamic Jihad leader on Tuesday.
Amirabdollahian also expressed hope that strengthening integration among Muslim countries would despair enemies’ hopes to undermine the cause of Palestine and Quds.
He noted that the Islamic Resistance in the region and Palestine would firmly defend the rights of the nations in the region and the rights of Palestine.
Elsewhere in the meeting, Leader of Palestine’s Islamic Jihad Ziyad al-Nakhalah praised Iran’s strong, effective and constructive role in regional issues and described Tehran’s active diplomacy with different countries in the region and the Islamic world as an indicator of Iran’s power.
Al-Nakhalah highlighted the Zionist regime’s record of violating commitments and agreements regarding the peace process and said that the only option for the Palestinian nations to protect their rights and expel the occupiers was resistance.
He also underscored the necessity of unity among Palestinian groups and the role of Iran, Syria, and the Lebanese resistance in supporting the Islamic resistance front.
