Lebanese Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh stressed that Lebanon is not a poor country.

In a post on his Twitter account on Saturday, minister Hamieh explained that revenues from some public utilities affiliated with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport will contribute significantly to filling the deficit in the public budget.

“Lebanon is neither weak, nor poor country. The revisions made on charges in several public facilities operated by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport will raise revenues of $350 million that will contribute to filling the deficit in the public budget.”
