Top Iranian officials said the removal of US sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic are on the right track and being pursued in a dignified manner.
Addressing the open session of the Iranian Parliament on Sunday, President Ebrahim Raeisi stressed that the removal of sanctions is being pursued in a dignified manner in these talks.
He spoke about the achievements of the 13th government in tackling and overcoming the country’s economic problems.
“Iran’s non-oil export is witnessing a 40% growth and we should try to improve Iran’s share in the regional economy. By pursuing things with strength, belief, and trust in God, the efforts will definitely lead to victory,” Raisi said, according to Mehr news agency.
For his part, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the ongoing negotiations in Vienna on removal of the sanctions are on the right track.
Speaking to his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Saturday, the top Iranian diplomat said reaching a good agreement is possible in the talks if the Western side possesses the required goodwill.
“Iran possesses the required will for reaching a good agreement,” he added.
“We can (therefore) reach a good agreement if the Western side is likewise in possession of such a good faith and will,” Amir Abdollahian said, as quoted by Tasnim news agency.
