Lebanon recorded on Saturday 1,133 new coronavirus cases and six related deaths, Ministry of Public Health announced.

1117 new infections were recorded among local residents, while the other 16 cases were imported, the ministry said in its daily report, putting the total infections nationwide since February 2020 to 651,788.

Six new fatalities were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the nationwide death toll to 8,577, the ministry stated.

The ministry added that 16,571 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

338 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, including 161 at the ICU rooms, 35 of whom are on ventilators, the report added.
