Head of Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, delivered on Saturday a speech on the anniversary of October 13, stressing that the Christians can be protected through the political and constitutional means exclusively.

Bassil offered condolences to the families of the victims claimed by the Lebanese Forces criminal in Tayouneh area, hailing Hezbolah and Amal Movement for resorting to self-restraint.
Seven martyrs and around 30 injured were reported during the armed attack carried out by the “Lebanese Forces” gunmen on the peaceful protestors in Tayouneh area. The protesters were demonstrating against the politicized decisions of the judicial investigator into Beirut blast, Tarek Al-Bitar.
MP Bassil highlighted again the importance of the Hezbollah-FPM Understanding. indicating that he was sanctioned due to his support to the Resistance.
Bassil told Geagea: “You allied with the terrorists (militants in Syria), we allied with those who protected Lebanon from the terrorists.”
