Terrorist militants started to leave east Aleppo early on Wednesday under a deal that marks a major victory for the Syrian government.
AFP news agency reported that 20 green government buses were gathered at the edges of the divided Salaheddin district, with some entered briefly Tuesday night.
The UN Security Council met in an emergency session to discuss Aleppo on Tuesday. During the meeting, Russian envoy Vitaly Churkin confirmed there was an agreement for the militants to leave the city.
