Yemeni revolutionaries have targeted Saudi Arabia’s Aramco oil facility in the kingdom’s Red Sea city of Jeddah with a missile strike.
Spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General said on Thursday that army troops and allied fighters from Popular Committees had launched a retaliatory missile attack against the Saudi Aramco oil facility in Jeddah.
The Quds-2-type cruise missile had hit the designated target with high precision, Saree said, as quoted by Al-Massirah TV channel.
The allied forces targeted the Saudi soil earlier on Sunday with 15 unmanned aerial vehicles and a ballistic missile as part of “the 5th Operation of Balanced Deterrence.”
Yemeni Air Force has been in the latest weeks stepping up attacks against Saudi military targets in retaliation for the nearly 6-year aggression.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab country has been also under harsh blockade b the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
