Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani denounced the so-called “Deal of the Century” proposed by Washington as “the most despicable Plan of Century”.
“Enough of these foolish attempts,” Rouhani tweeted in English late on Wednesday.
“The Most Despicable Plan of the Century,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said in a message that the US evil policy against Palestine and the “Deal of Century” will never materialize.
Also on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also deplored US President Donald Trump’s plan as a “nightmare” for the region and the world.
On Tuesday night, US President Donald unveiled his long-delayed Middle East plan. He said the plan envisages the city as the Israeli regime’s “undivided capital.”
The plan envisions the creation of a Palestinian state in the West Bank, a handful of neighborhoods in East Al-Quds (Jerusalem), the Gaza Strip and some areas of the occupied territories’ south on condition that the Palestinians recognize the Zionist entity as a “Jewish state” and Hamas and other resistance groups in the Gaza Strip disarm.
The plan calls for allowing the Zionist entity to annex settlements, granting the occupation authorities sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and ongoing overall security control west of the Jordan River, and barring Palestinians entering occupied territories as refugees.
Trump’s announcement has sparked widespread international condemnation.
