Commenting on the US Attorney General’s decision to double the alleged reward for providing information about the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Hezbollah’s Arab and International Relations Unit issued on Monday a statement which indicated that the US administration, once again, proves its adherence to a policy of domination and bullying.
“The US administration practices all forms of intimidation and threats against all nations, peoples, states, and governments that do not submit to its hegemony. The recent decision against the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Mr. Nicolás Maduro, is merely an example of this policy of violating the sovereignty, rights, and dignity of the Venezuelan people and leadership. It is an attempt, within the context of an ongoing approach, to destabilize a sovereign state that firmly rejects US dictates and adheres to its national and historical principles.”
Hezbollah condemned the new American decision and saw it as a blatant aggression against a country that enjoys independence and sovereignty, expressing full solidarity with the Venezuelan government and people, led by President Maduro, and what it represents in terms of a continuation of the authentic national and revolutionary approach established by the late leader Hugo Chavez.
“This liberation and humanitarian approach placed Venezuela at the forefront of the global powers defending the rights of nations and peoples, which has been evident in the pioneering positions supporting the Palestinian cause and Arab rights in the face of American arrogance and Zionist brutality.”
