US House Speaker Mike Johnson desecrated the Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil, Hebron, reports revealed on Wednesday.
The provocative move took place on Tuesday as a part of tour Mike carried out, along with a delegation of Republican members of Congress.
Photos circulated on social media showed the US delegation, protected by Israeli occupation forces, near the Ibrahimi Mosque in occupied Al-Khalil.

Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat accompanied the US delegation, he announced in a post on X on Wednesday.
Barkat said that while partaking in the “special tour” of Hebron, he thanked the US lawmakers “for their support of Israel even in the most difficult times under President Trump.”
The Republican lawmakers are in the occupied territories on a private, previously unannounced trip, organized by Heather Johnston, the founder of a group called the US Israel Education Association.
The delegation arrived on Sunday in Tel Aviv. On Monday, the US speaker visited the illegal Israeli settlement of Ariel in the occupied West Bank.

During his visit to Ariel, Johnson claimed that “the mountains of Judea and Samaria (West Bank) are the rightful property of the Jewish People.”
The United Nations considers all Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territory illegal under international law and has repeatedly warned that their expansion erodes the viability of a two-state solution.
Since the start of Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, at least 1,013 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 7,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers, according to Palestinian authorities.
